FusionOne

FusionOne is a software company that provides synchronization products and solutions, primarily for mobile subscribers, to global carriers, content providers, and handset manufacturers. The privately held company is based in San Jose, California.
FusionOne was originally founded in 1998.
In 2001, the FusionOne platform was extended to support wireless mobile device synchronization.
In 2004, FusionOne and Verizon Wireless launched Backup Assistant, a mobile address book backup service for Verizon Wireless subscribers. On February 16, 2009, FusionOne and Verizon announced they would be working together to sync subscriber address book information across multiple Verizon services, such as mobile, telecom, and FiOS.
On March 17, 2009, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granted FusionOne Patent No. 7,505,762, titled “Wireless Telephone Data Backup System.”
