Fruganism

Fruganism (in Deutsch: Fruganismus) is a thought based on respecting the human, animal and plants’ life.

What is Fruganism?
Fruganism is a division of Vegetarianism. This word is derived from the word “Frugan” which, itself, is elicited from the combination of Frugivore and Vegan. Although the moral criteria of the fruganism is very similar to veganism, there is a main basic difference between these two, since fruganism respects animals’ life as well as plants’ life.
What do Frugans think of?
The frugans believe that the plants’ life is worth respect as much as the life of the animals. Thus, they have banned not only the animal-made products consumption, but also the use of those products which may lead to plants’ death or harm.
What Frugans do not consume?
They only eat fruits, seeds, grains and nuts. Therefore, animals’ products, cabbage, lettuce, celery, vegetables, carrot, turnip, mushroom, potato, garlic, onion and generally the whole kinds of roots, plant glands, sprouts, leaves and stems do not exist in their diet.
The Difference between Fruitarianism and Fruganism
Fruganism is different from Fruitarianism since they do not emphasize on consuming raw foods. Frugans like vegans are using cooked food. Therefore, by a little change in their ingredients most of the vegans can cook their food according to their own recipes.
