Fraser P. Seitel (born June 6, 1946) is an American publicist and author. Seitel is president of Emerald Partners, a public relations firm that he and associates founded in 1992. He is the author of the textbook The Practice of Public Relations, the 1992 book IdeaWise: How to Transform Your Ideas, which he co-authored with Steve Rivkin, and Rethinking Reputation in 2012, co-authored with John Doorley. Seitel was senior counselor at Burson-Marsteller, and senior vice president and director of public affairs at the Chase Manhattan Bank in the 1980s. He also has been a spokesman for the Rockefeller family. Seitel is also an adjunct professor at New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies' graduate program in Public Relations and Corporate Communication. He has written opinion pieces for the Fox News website, Fortune Magazine, and appeared on Larry King Live, MSNBC, Glenn Beck, Fox Business Network, the Fox Radio Network and National Public Radio.
