Fox Valley Bible Church

Fox Valley Bible Church is a church located in St. Charles, Illinois. It is a small church with about 300-400 people. It's current pastor is Rev Paul Alexander. It is located at 4N876 Randall Rd in St Charles IL.

History
Fox Valley Bible Church was formed in 1957 from a Bible study group meeting in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Jack Middagh. The church was organized under the leadership of Rev. Charles Svoboda. The first Sunday service was held on June 16, 1957 with Mr. Myron Higby, a student at Wheaton College, as pastor. A church constitution was adopted on May 21, 1958.
FVBC has always maintained a heart for missions and began to support several missionaries in 1959.

Over the years the newly organized church grew and met at various locations in the Tri-City area, including the Salvation Army building, the Baker Community Center, the Baker Hotel, the Alice Davis School in St. Charles, and the Geneva High School.

In 1965 FVBC purchased two acres for $15,000 on Howard Street in St. Charles and held their first worship service on August 3, 1969 in a newly constructed facility. God blessed FVBC under the guidance of Pastor Howard Stein (9/69 - 5/83) and the church grew from a congregation 40 to a congregation of almost 200 at this site. The current Randall Road facility was constructed and dedicated in 1983.

Following the pastorate of Dave Foglebach (4/84 - 1/86) Bob Whitney became pastor (1/86) and remained through the end of 1998. Bob had been on John MacArthur’s staff at Grace Community Church and began the solid expositional teaching that exists today. Two education additions were added to the initial facility during this time.

In 1997 a Mission House was built on the south side of the property. Constructed by the members of FVBC, the house is for use by FVBC missionaries when they return to this country on home assignment.

Gary Vet became pastor in 1999 and remained until November of 2003. Although FVBC has been, and is, reformed in soteriology, the study and practice of Biblical Theology by the elders of FVBC during this period led to the current hermeneutic.

In April 2006, following two years of interim speakers, God graciously called Paul Alexander as Pastor/Teacher. Paul was previously involved with Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, and then as a Campus Crusade staff member at Michigan State University.

Fox Valley Bible Church remains an independent, non-denominational church and is not associated with any particular association or affiliation.
