Sublunary Addie Nile Lyrics The lyrics seem to follow the themes of death and memory. The speaker in "Skeleton Stairs" is a survivor of a fire while the EP closes with metaphor of The Nile River which to the ancient Egyptians represented the passageway between life and death. Clues to the song's meanings may also be found in a number of allusions. Skeleton Stairs referenes Hamlet, while Addie is a reference to a character from As I Lay Dying. |
