The Nasty Nas Demo Tape (dubbed Pre-Illmatic or 1991 Demo Tape in some cases) is Nas' original demo, circa 1991. It was recorded sometime between 1990 and 1991. The new artist would later go on to release his debut album, Illmatic, in 1994. The demo features his debut song, "Live At The Barbeque" with acclaimed hip hop group, . Also featured, Track 9 (Nas Will Prevail), is the originally produced version of It Ain't Hard To Tell, a song that would later be featured in Illmatic.
