Focus Integrated Fitness is a luxury private personal training company headquartered in New York City. Focus operates two separate companies: Focus Integrated Fitness Personal Training and The Focus Personal Training Institute, a private personal training school licensed by the New York State Department of Education. The company provides personal training as well as education for personal trainers.
History
Focus was founded in 2001 by Joe Masiello and Gabriel Valencia, who are frequently cited as personal training experts
,on New York City's Upper East Side as an in-home personal training company. With the rapid growth and development in residential real estate, by 2007, Focus became known as the largest in-home personal training company in NYC. Since then, Focus expanded it’s services to private commerical buildings and independently owned fitness centers throughout New York City.
In 2010, the company moved downtown to 115 West 27th street in the Chelsea/Flatiron district. Also in 2010, the Focus Personal Training Institute opened its doors at the 27th street location. The personal training school offers career training as well as exam preparation courses for NCCA accredited personal trainer certifications such as ACE, NASM, ACSM and NSCA.
Notable Clients
The company's personal trainers have catered to a number of celebrity clients, notably preparing Beyonce Knowles for her 2003 Dangerously in Love Tour.
