Flowergram

Flowergram Ltd was a florist relay organisation established in the UK in February 1988 by Simon Dimmock and Rebecca Dimmock. The company was headquartered in Stourbridge. Originally set up to provide competition to Interflora, it is the 3rd largest flower and gift affiliate marketing and florist clearinghouse company in the UK and Ireland, comprising almost 1000 independently owned florist shops. In 1991, Flowergram began a trading partnership with Teleflora, the Los Angeles-based international wire service owned by Stewart and Linda Resnick.
In December 2006, Flowergram became the first organisation to join with the British Florists Association, in particular taking on board its Code of Practice for retail florists.
On May 1, 2007, Flowergram was acquired by UK online flower retailer FlowersDirect. Flowers Direct merged its few remaining Flowergram florist shops in 2008 into the less successful Flowers Direct group. In May 2010 Flowers Direct was placed into administration - to allow for the sale of its assets to the Flying Group - owner of the Flying Flowers brand.
