History
Flippin' Sweet Gear started with a designer, his brother and a dream. With hopes to bring a mix of vintage, funny and pop culture t-shirts to the masses, cafepress helped make the that dream come true in early 2005.
Since then the shop has grown into a plethora of original pop culture and retro inspired merchandise. They now receive input from friends, family, customers and fans. They are known to design shirts with a vintage look.
In 2007, Flippin Sweet Gear was featured on the TV show Mythbusters. On January 17, 2007, the "Geek" in Greek lettering was shown on the Pirates special. The second episode, entitled "Seven Paper Fold," aired on January 24, 2007 and featured the "I Love Geeks" t-shirt. Finally, the "Birds in a Truck" episode aired on April 18, 2007 and featured the "I Bust Myths" t-shirt.
