Filipino adoption of YouTube

Ever since the launching of YouTube in 2005, Filipinos were among the pioneers. Many Filipinos have rose to stardom and become Filipino YouTube Wonders because of YouTube.
There are also a lot of notable Filipino video producers using YouTube as their mode of distribution. Based on YouTube, several websites have been developed which can be classified as Filipino YouTube Clones.

# Alyssa Alano became popular on YouTube because of the prank done to his singing of the song "Kiss Me".
# Charlie Green and Madonna Decena were contestants of the show "Britain's Got Talent" became popular here in the Philippines even after losing the contest because of the popularity of their YouTube videos.
# Edu Manzano's "Papaya Dance" became a hit similar to the "Macarena craze" because of YouTube.
# Cebu inmates dance performance of Michael Jackson's Thriller earned then the Michael Jackson's Thriller, earning them a slot in the Time magazine's list of top Internet videos.
# Moymoy Palaboy, a pinoy duo who became so successful on Youtube they even got to be stars of Bubble Gang. Some of their videos have reached 5 million views, proof that Youtube can really create online stars.
