FDRMX (First Real Dedicated Music Exchange) is a website designed to provide visitors with the resources to discover music by searching via genre, country, language, and year. They are also referred to as the Encyclopedia of Music. They feature original articles, music news, interviews, reviews, and photos from around the world. There are three main components to the FDRMX experience, those being , , and . Each one caters to a specific media outlet within music. History FDRMX was founded on June 19, 2013. The concept for FDRMX was described as a music exchange forum, with the goal to provide "premium, high quality content available worldwide." The site was launched July 12, 2013. FDRMX Eyes The Eyes of FDRMX features international music videos of premium quality. They explicitly avoid inappropriate materials when selecting music videos to be featured on their site in order to ensure their accessibility to audiences of all ages. They focus on discovering little-known or independent artists, and distribute "highly professional", new music videos. They've included the videos of artists such as The Big Pink, Laibach, and Miike Snow. FDRMX Mouth The Mouth of FDRMX features original articles on music news (sorted by genre), interviews with artists and talents from around the world, original reviews of events, albums, singles and music videos, as well as lyrics and artists’ biographies. FDRMX has done reviews for artists such as The Jepettos, as well as music festivals and events like Summer Stage. They're site features exclusive interviews with artists such as Glenn Kotche and Ladi6. FDRMX Heart This section of their website is dedicated to sharing the Encyclopedia of Music’s revenue statistics and the profiles of their content providers. A percentage of all of FDRMX's advertising revenue goes to charity organizations and content providers. Availability FDRMX was initially available in the United States. Within a month of its launch, it became available worldwide. Content Censorship Music videos on FDRMX that contain explicit and/or graphic material, including strong religious references, inappropriate language, overtly sexual content, and other controversial materials are not uploaded to FDRMX. Interviews, reviews, and news articles containing profanity may be edited. The censorship goal is to ensure that offensive content will not cause the site to be banned in countries with strict censorship laws.
