Fatima Cavalieri

Fatima Cavalieri is a jewellery designer from Minas Gerais, Brazil. As a jeweller’s daughter, Cavalieri began her profession in 1966 in Belo Horizonte city.
Career
Cavalieri first learnt the trade from her mother who had built a differentiated customers group and had experience in the field. In 1976 she launched the “FC” trademark which was created and designed by her sister Edwiges Cavalieri.
She later met her husband through such ventures, and subsequently moved to Rio de Janeiro city. There she established her company and manufactured jewels for Brazilian and international jewelers.
She was one the first designers to create refined jewels which combined frog and fish leather with precious stones. In 1992 she moved to Bueonos Aires city in order to attend the courses provided by the Argentinean Jewelry Clocks & Watches Chamber. Her sons also followed in her steps, becoming the third generation in the jewellery industry.
Fatima was a member of the Argentinean Jewelry Chamber and was the first women elected as the director. She was also the organiser and promoter of the first national conference of Argentinean jewelers, which was held at the Park Hayatt Buenos Aires Hotel. There she hosted a meeting based on 'The Fascinating World of Jewels with Diamonds'.
In 1997 due to numerous invitations, she moved to Belo Horizonte to teach at Belas Artes Guignard University.
In 2002 she returned to Belo Horizonte city and continued her courses at Ponteio Lar Shopping where in July 2003 she carried out the first Jewel's Design Exhibition which wad open to the public as one of her cultural projects named “The Arte of Jewelry’s Design”.
In 2004 she hosted the Art and Design Galley, which had trademark “One Only One”. A number of designers displayed silver jewels and signed pieces.
In August 2005 at Ponteio Lar Shopping Cultural Space, “The Art and Jewelry Design” and “Gallery Art and Design”, two projects were presented with jewels expositions.
At Buenos Aires, offering continuity to her family business, consulting services and curses are managed by her daughter Juliana Cavalieri.
She was also a finalist for the 2006 AngloGold Ashanti Auditions.
Currently living in Brazil, unable to return to Argentina due to the many people cheated in Argentina.
