Executive Hotel Management College (commonly abbreviated as EHMC) is a hospitality college located in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The college is certified by both the and the . History EHMC was founded by Ken Honborg, a veteran of the hospitality industry and President of the DSC Hotel Systems, which provides software used by many hotels in Canada and the Pacific Northwest. His stated goal as Dean of EHMC is to help “develop Canada’s next hospitality leaders.” Staff The staff at EHMC consists of several industry veterans and experts. One example is Lutz Wolf, the former Food Director for Executive Hotels and Resorts and Assistant General Manager for Harrison Hot Springs and Resorts, who takes on the role of instructor and the Director of Food and Beverage. Also included on the staff as Program Advisor and instructor is Jennifer Jewczyk, whose career has stretched from the Nimmo Bay Resort to the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Vancouver, Sydney, and Cairns. William Gerard, the Director of Admissions and Recruitment, is a graduate of several prestigious institutions in both France and Canada, including the Fairleigh Dickinson University, and has worked as a Wealth Management Advisor for Ag2r-La Mondiale and as the Assistant Manager at the Victorian Hotel. Campus EHMC is located on the second floor of the Landis Hotel and Suites in Downtown Vancouver. It is considered to be the only hospitality college in North America to be strategically located in a fully operational hotel. Programs EHMC currently offers four different programs. They include: *3-6 Month Introduction to Hospitality Certificate Program *6-Month Hospitality Fundamentals Certificate Program *1-Year Hotel and Restaurant Management Diploma Program *2-Year Dual Hotel/ Food and Beverage Diploma Program with Paid Co-op Placement Students EHMC is designed to accommodate both local and international students. It offers several scholarship, bursary and financing options. Partners EHMC is partnered with several prominent hospitality institutions including the Landis Hotel and Suites and Mayfair Hotels and Resorts. It also provides accreditation and certification from American Hotel and Lodging Association, Private Career Training Institutions Agency, and the University of Liverpool.
