Ever After High

Ever After High is a doll franchise released by Mattel in the autumn of 2013. It is a companion line to the popular Monster High dolls, however in this line the characters are based upon characters from fairy tales and fantasy stories.
The franchise was created based upon the success of its parent line Monster High.
Storyline
The Ever After High storyline is based upon the children of famous fairy tale characters attending the eponymous high school, who are destined to follow in their parents’ footsteps to keep their stories alive through generations, otherwise their stories will cease to exist. However, one character is unhappy with her destiny and wishes to write her own path. A key theme is ‘Royal or Rebel’ which is between those who know they will have a happily ever after and those with less favorable destinies or those who prefer the idea of writing their own destiny.
Dolls
They are very similar to Monster High - the main differences are the rounder faces, thicker and more human-like bodies, and the differences in how different molds are utilized - example, Madeline Hatter is shorter to resemble her size in the series, and not her age. Unlike Monster High, the characters each share similar face molds.
Characters
The cast is composed of two types: the "royals", characters with more favorable destinies promised to them, which mainly includes princesses and other 'liked' protagonists, and the "rebels", characters with either less favorable destinies, have a problem which prevents them from following their parents, or are fond of the idea of writing their own destinies. There are also other characters who lie with both sides, or those whose allegiance is not clear.
Apple White
Apple White is the princess daughter of Snow White, and is one of the lead characters of the franchise (along with Raven Queen). She is a royal. Everyone is fond of her and are often hypnotized by her beauty and kindness. She wishes to live out her legacy and become queen. She is a de facto leader and very responsible and friendly; however, she can often be self-centered and is often naïve as to what is going on outside of her own "perfect" world. She respects Raven as a key character in her destiny, but does not understand the feelings of others people, such as Raven, who rebel against their legacies, and is very reluctant to accept that her destiny will have to go differently. Her signature color is red, like apples. She is voiced by Jonquil Goode.
Raven Queen
Raven Queen is the daughter of the Evil Queen, and is one of the lead character of the franchise, along with Apple White. She is a rebel. She is frustrated with having to be evil (as her mother was), and wishes to go her own way. Most people see her as evil and mean because her mother was, but she is actually misunderstood, like the other rebels, and wishes to be herself and rewrite her own chapter and strives to try and make it work. This inspires her to learn good magic for people with relations with evil queens. Her signature color is purple, like royalty. She is voiced by Erin Fitzgerald, who also voices C.A. Cupid in this series.
Briar Beauty
Briar is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and best friends with Apple. She wishes to live out her life to its very fullest and do as much as she can, as she is destined to be sleeping for a hundred years. In fact, she sleeps a lot, even during class, which often gets her in trouble. However, she loves to party and shop and is very fun-loving, social and cheerful. Her signature color is pink, like her rose. She is voiced by Kate Higgins.
Madeline Hatter
Madeline is daughter of the Mad Hatter and best friends with Raven. She is a rebel. She is funny and very eccentric, and she has a fondness for tea parties. She also likes to break the fourth wall, and is the only person to interact with the narrators, as only she can hear them because of her "madness". She is reasonably happy with her destiny, seeing as it has to do with tea, but is fond of the idea of rewriting. She owns a pet dormouse named Earl Grey. She is voiced by Cindy Robinson.

She is voiced by Laura Bailey.

Hunter is the son of a huntsman and is a rebel (presumed to be the one from Snow White). He is slightly boastful and easily annoyed. His signature color is green, like the forest trees. He is voiced by Grant George.
Cerise Hood

Cedar Wood
Cedar is the daughter of Pinocchio. She is clumsy and ditsy as well as talkative, though she is not interested of lying, unlike her dad. Cedar appears to be made of wood: She has a stuffy nose that doesn't grow on account of being shy to lie; she wears acorns for earrings, a ring, and a bracelet on her left-hand-side wrist, all having wooden themes. Also, by the sound of her full name, she may or may not been given that name by the creators to resemble Cerise's full name.
She is voiced by Jonquil Goode.
Dexter Charming
Dexter is the brother of Daring Charming. He has a different personality than Daring: he seems to be somewhat shy, nervous and more down-to-earth. He has a crush on Raven. He is voiced by Evan Smith.
