Dressed in red, the Behringer EG8180-RD is a compact electronic grand piano with 14 unique internal voices, 64-note polyphony and MIDI capability. The instrument features 88 weighted, hammer-action keys, and does not require tuning or other maintenance typically associated with acoustic instruments. An 80-Watt stereo loudspeaker system provides ample sound for intimate to moderately loud environments, plus outputs are provided for external amplification and for recording.
The EG8180-RD is also equipped with a 2-track song recorder, which includes a metronome. The 14 available internal voices include two Grand Pianos, two E-Pianos, Harpsichord, Cembalo, Vibraphone, Pipe Organ, Church Organ, Jazz organ, Strings, Soft Strings, Choir and Acoustic Guitar. Performance is enhanced by onboard digital effects, which include Room, Hall 1, Hall 2 and Stage reverbs, as well as Chorus (for a slight doubling effect), Flanger (a slightly in and out of tune sound), Tremolo (pulsating change in volume) and Delay (echo). A built-in dual-headphone system is provided for private practicing and for student/teacher sessions.
