EnergySage is an American solar energy website that is based in Boston, Massachusetts. The company is a two-time recipient of funding from the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative. It uses its online marketplace to compare solar energy prices for homeowners and property developers. EnergySage has been described as "the Expedia of solar". The company received $1.5 million in Series A funding round from Launchpad Venture Group in May 2015, with total funding of about $4 million. By 2015, the company was active in 30 states. In August 2015, EnergySage was endorsed by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Partnerships EnergySage is partnered with National Grid. In April 2016, EnergySage partnered with the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts to create Sunny Cambridge, a "Year in Solar" campaign community outreach and education on solar energy. The company announced a partnership with Schneider Electric in June 2016 to use smart thermostats and solar energy systems.
