Elliott Marc Jones (born 1998) is a British video game developer and managing director, who is best known as the creator of the independent video game Redactem (2016) and the managing director of EMJ Advertising. In 2017 he was listed as being the fourth most influential gaming personality due to his company EMJ Advertising. Elliott's game Redactem is notable for being the number one rated game on IndieGameStand. Redactem Product Key Scandal In late August 2016, Elliott revoked 10,000 product keys for Redactem that were intended to be used in a giveaway but were leaked early. Users of the Reddit subreddit GameDealsMeta broke the story, commenters were suspicious of Elliott's statement that the keys were leaked and were angry that the game was forcefully removed for their Steam library. Elliott later addressed the issue claiming that web security issues were to blame. |
