Elena Gibson

Elena founded Pole Dancing School and is also its principal dance teacher and choreographer. She trained professionally in classical ballet from the age of 9 at the National Ballet School in Toronto (grad class of 1995) and has danced extensively for The National Ballet of Canada and the Bavarian State Ballet in Germany, as well as in numerous other productions as a guest artist in both North America and Europe.
Elena developed her passion for pole dancing after using it as her way back to fitness following a serious car accident. Since her return to dance, Elena has won awards at both national and international level, winning "Miss Pole Dance UK" 2005 and the first to be crowned "Miss Pole Dance World" in Amsterdam, 2005.
Certified Ishta yoga instructor (New York), member of the entertainment trade union Equity since 1995 (No. M00240415) board member of the Equity Pole Dance Working Party and the Choreographers Committee, Level 3 member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (No. R0043384), the first officially appointed "Level 3 Pole Dancing Instructor" in the UK by Pole Dance Community, Second Place winner of "Pole Dance Instructor of the Year 2009" awarded by Pole Dance Fitness Association (IPDFA), the UK representative of the International Pole Federation (IPF), the European representative of the International Pole Fitness Federation (IPFF).
