K-1 MAX Canarias 2009

K-1 MAX Canarias 2009 was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was an elimination tournament involving eight fighters primarily based in Spain with all bouts fought under K-1 MAX Rules (70 kg/152 lbs). As well as tournament matches there were also two 'Super Fights' fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). In total there were twelve fighters at the event, representing five countries.
The tournament winner was Daniel Montesdeoca who defeated Jonay Risco in the final by second round knockout. The event was held at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes in Santa Cruz de Tenerife , Spain on Saturday, July 4, 2009.
