Edwin Hitti

Edwin E. Hitti (orn 1961 in Damascus) is an economics and policy strategy advisor, one of the world's foremost motivational gurus and philanthropists.

Hitti was brought up in a semi-political and elitist milieu, a well known personality of great integrity and vision, a descendant of two revered Middle East families, the Hitti's, a family who's marked peerage is thought to date back to the 'Hittites' 13th century BC a clearly labeled family, further enhanced by numerous ancestral academic prominence's such as Professor Phillip K. Hitti regarded among the world's leading authorities on Arab and Islamic historical studies. Lord Edwin is currently the President of The Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The chamber is not associated with any specific government, it is a not-for profit organization registered in Hong Kong. The chamber's purpose is to promote commercial ties between China/Hong Kong and the Arab World. International Islamic Mediation and Arbitration Centre, Shariah Advisory Council, The Mosque Building Fund, HK Institute of Islamic Studies, and the Amwal Credit Union.
Books
Lord Edwin is an accomplished author with two books published under his name and many more in the works. The first book he authored was Glassnotes on the Sideline (ISBN 0-9682196-0-8) followed by Basic Mechanics of Islamic Capitalism (ISBN 978-988-17217-2-3), currently found throughout the world in libraries and universities as one of the most complete introductions into modern Islamic Finance and Capitalism.
