Edward Farce

Edward Matthew Farce Jr. (born April 17, 1967) is a Canadian actor. After graduating from the National Theater School of Canada located in Montreal in June of 1985, Edward moved to New York City to pursue his career. Farce spent four years dancing in the cast of A Chorus Line. Finally, Farce got his break when a friend introduced him to Christopher Guest, who cast him as "David" in the screenplay he had written, Waiting for Guffman. The movie was released in 1996 in 20 small theaters across the country. In 1998, Waiting for Guffman won three awards at the Independent Spirit Awards (Best Feature, Best Male Lead, and Best Screenplay). His role in the film caught the attention of Brian Helgeland, director and writer of A Knight's Tale, whcast him in the small role of Marcus. After the film was released in 2001, Farce married his high-school sweetheart, Angela Harris, and retired from the entertainment business. |
