Caroline Jaden Stussi

Caroline Jaden Stussi is an international actress who is fluent in 5 languages and has a Master of Law. She has received substantial media attention.
Caroline's career began at age 3 when she won a model contest. In the following years she starred in several commercial campaigns and numerous plays. She gained international attention as one of the Swiss finalists for the lead in Michael Douglas’s Courage Mountain. Her first leading role in a major film was in the feature film Secret Trees of Inspiration, which is based on her life.
Early life
Caroline was born as the first of six children. She grew up in an abusive childhood with the regular involvement of the child protection services.
As an infant Caroline lived with her grandparents. Caroline was put in an Italian daycare and later into a private French School at age 5. In both cases, she had to learn a foreign language very quickly in order to communicate with her classmates. Later Caroline was transferred to public school where she was an outsider.
Caroline grew up raising her siblings and working in her second stepfather’s family business. She would get up at 2am to do her homework when her siblings would be asleep and she could focus on her work. At school she often fell asleep and was penalized for it. Caroline graduated high school in sports and modern languages.
Career
Caroline won a model contest in Germany when she was 3 years old and started modeling and acting. Since she was making money, these were the only activities she was allowed as leisure time. Caroline became a member of a local theatre company where she starred in several plays. During that time she also starred in several commercial campaigns. At age 11, Caroline was among the 3 Swiss finalists for the lead in Michael Douglas’s Courage Mountain, co-starring Charlie Sheen which gained her international attention. and as a public accountant for the Swiss National Bank and PricewaterhouseCoopers - the latter being in charge of counting the Oscars® ballots for the Academy Awards. After 5 years the workload had become so much that Caroline failed an exam twice and was expelled from business school as a consequence.
Caroline’s turning point was when she was offered to work for Academy Award Winner Arthur Cohn, who encouraged her to go back to school. Caroline took a loan and graduated with a Master of Law in only 3.5 years, with a major in Entertainment Law. During that time she also became a member of the Swiss Study Foundation for outstanding students and appeared on several TV series and commercials.
In 2006, Caroline followed her dream and moved to Hollywood, being in the US for the first time. She studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles for 2 years, where she appeared in several stage productions and where she also started working as an Assistant Director. Her roommate was film director Monte Hellman, who became her mentor. Caroline starred regularly on Spanish TV channel Telemundo and appeared in numerous American TV shows, feature films, pilots and music videos.
She was cast as the lead in the web series Hallo Hollywood, which was shot in Los Angeles. Her first international feature film, Secret Trees of Inspiration, is based on her life and was shot in Los Angeles, Dubai and Munich. It is the story of a woman’s journey overcoming the shadows of her past.<ref name="Secret" />
Caroline now works as an international actress with focus on the American, Spanish, Italian, French and German Film market.
Environmentalist
Caroline became personally aware of environmental crises with the traumatic experience of the Sandoz chemical spill on her birthday. It was an environmental disaster in her hometown in which the Rhine River turned red and most fish were killed. Caroline became an active member of Greenpeace and World Wide Fund for Nature and now tries to contribute to environmental-friendlier film sets.
