Chad Christian Chad Christian is an American born television and film actor. Personal Life Chad was born in Torrance, CA. He has two older brothers and is the only native Californian in his family. He studied film at UCLA and acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, CA. His parents were both professional actors and met on the acting circuit while pursuing their careers. After marriage, they made their home in Texas and started a family. Several years and two kids later, they found themselves pulling up stakes and heading for cooler temperatures out west in Southern California. Both his parents stayed in touch with show business in their spare time while trying to raise a family. His father (Richard) continued working in local theatre and doing numerous television commercials while his mother (Jacqueline) worked as a critically acclaimed, award winning director, receiving the Drama-Logue Award for excellence in directing, three separate times. She was also the first and only non-hispanic to receive a special award of recognition from the latino actor’s advancement organization called Nosotros, for her part in helping to get latino theatre recognized in L.A. She directed their first three critically acclaimed, award winning stage productions and was presented the award by Nosotros co-founder and then president, Ricardo Montalbán at it’s annual ALMA Awards. In-between directing theatre productions she also taught acting all across L.A. and also started her own acting school, The Actor’s Circle in the South Bay area of L.A. She taught many young up and coming actors that have gone on to successful t.v. and film careers at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena California, eventually becoming one of it’s senior faculty members. Career Chad started his acting career on the stage at age 10, performing in professional productions of original musicals that toured all over the western United States. Soon to follow were a couple of productions at the renown Los Angeles Music Center in downtown L.A., including productions with the L.A.’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre’s, , including an American Premiere of Terence Rattigan’s english drama Cause Celebre with Anne Baxter and Dorothy McGuire at the , Ahmanson Theatre. Television came next with numerous appearances in commercials and guest roles on popular network television shows and soap operas including multiple appearances on productions of Little House On The Prairie and Highway To Heaven, including several guest appearances on the daytime drama Days Of Our Lives. Chad continued working where he began, in theatre, performing in various theatre productions across L.A. Chad later appeared in several film roles and did modeling in print ads for both the national and international markets. In later years, Chad became more involved with the production end of the business, woking in Hollywood for several top production houses in television and film including production work at Arnold Shapiro Productions. He recently has tried his hand at writing and is currently working on the development of several film and television projects. In the near future he’s working on starting up his own multimedia production company where ideas for television, film, art and music will all share a creative space.
