Edith J. Cromwell

Edith J. Cromwell (21 Nov 1935-) was Advocate and Activist for Washington, DC from 1973-2007. She has lived and worked in Anacostia to Boston, MA in advocacy. First, heard of in 1974-1979 historical newspaper of The Washington Post the entry was entitled Contacts With Governments (Note, her alias was Fareeda Shakir during this paper) this took place while Marion Berry was in office.
Early life
Edith Cromwell was born Edith Joyce Green, on the 21 of November 1935 in Washington, DC to a Carolinian minister named John D. Green Sr. and his late-wife Isabel D. Green. Her mother died from a heart-attack in 1944 when Edith was only 9 this traumatizing event had a big impact on the Green family household, Edith being the middle child was raised fondly with her cousin Beatrice Ruth Cox (Johnson) and sister Marian G. White (Greene). Edith had met Robert Warren and they had 2 children before their marriage. In, 1958 her and Robert Sr. married, They had 3 children during their marriage, They later divorced.
New Life
Edith married Anthony Cromwell aka: Abdul Shakir and with that she became Fareeda Shakir (All of her newspapers while married to Anthony or Abdul were under Fareeda Shakir) on April 26, 1973. She was seen in a anacostia pageant called Mrs. Anacostia this all was recorded as Fareeda Shakir. She and Abdul divorced, And her religion was was previously Muslim became Pentecostal/Nondenominational and her name was restored to Edith Cromwell
Manna
Edith started with a real estate business called Manna Inc. (DC) and she worked their from 1992-2007.
