Arndrea Waters

Arndrea Waters is the spouse of Martin Luther King III, the elder son of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King. Waters is from Tallahassee, Florida, and lived in Atlanta 15 years prior to their marriage. The couple married in May 2006. Their marriage came only four months after the death of Coretta Scott King, which King noted and called their marriage a "wonderful blessing".
On May 25, 2008, Waters gave birth to Yolanda Renee King, the first grandchild of the civil rights leaders and the only child of the couple. Their daughter was named after Yolanda King, Martin's sister who died the previous year.
