E2ride bike tours

e2ride bike tours (pronounced ready to ride bike tours) are guided historical bicycle tours of Riverside/Avondale, San Marco, Olde Mandarin, Springfield, and the Jacksonville Beaches in the Greater Jacksonville, Florida area. e2ride bike tours opened in 2009 as a sustainable tourism resource for both visitors to the Jacksonville area, and locals to actively learn about these neighborhoods, their history and what makes them thrive. The tours are partnered with, and depart from the local Historical and Preservation Societies and supports non-profits in the area including the St Johns Riverkeeper, the Riverside Avondale Preservation Society, the San Marco Preservation Society, the Mandarin Garden Club, the Beaches Museum and Historical Society, and the Mandarin Historical Society. The historic guided bicycle tours are set along the scenic back roads of quaint neighborhoods with architectural gems dating back to the mid-19th century and views of the St. Johns River or the Atlantic Ocean.
On December 19, 2009, e2ride bike tours and the Riverside Avondale Preservation Society hosted the Inaugural Luminaria Historic Bike Tour. The tour was a part of the areas 25th Annual Luminaria Weekend Celebration.
On May 8, 2010, e2ride bike tours and Springfield Preservation and Revitalization hosted the Inaugural Springfield Historic Bicycle Tour. The tour was a part of the areas 32nd Annual Home and Garden Tour.
