Pinkie Pie

Pinkie Pie (A.K.A. Pinkamena Diane Pie) is a fictional character from the My Little Pony line of toys. First appearing in the direct-to-video special A Charming Birthday in 2003, she is currently a character in the much recent children's television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is voiced by Janyse Jaud in both G3 and Core 7 Incarnations, both Gigi Abraham (Adult) and Dana Flitman (baby) in Once Upon a My Little Pony Time and Andrea Libman in Friendship Is Magic.
Origin
Role and Personality
Generation 3 and Core 7
In both the Generation 3 and Core 7 specials, Pinkie Pie is described as a happy-go-lucky pony who loves planning big parties and anything pink, as contrast to Minty's obsession to green and clumsiness. She is also a bit logical but sometimes goes on a leadership role on some things.
She was also a natural leader in the Core 7 Serials, who was earnest and friendly and always ready to help her friends, as well as sharing true friendship.
Friendship is Magic
In Friendship is Magic, She is a party planner, but is very funny, talkative, a bit air-headed, and quite random at times. She also enjoys singing and playing pranks, sometimes with Rainbow Dash's help, but will not play any on Fluttershy due to her sensitive nature. Her behavior is frequently random and chaotic at times and she has been known to break the fourth wall. The general laws of the world do not seem to apply to Pinkie Pie, she frequently emerges out of places far too small for her to fit in, appearing inside mirrors and generally defying physics and logic everywhere. She is however the only character in the show to behave like this, and her odd behaviour is often acknowledged by her friends on account of her "just being Pinkie Pie".
Despite this demeanor, she is also very resourceful; an example of this is shown in "Swarm of the Century", where she makes a musician out of herself regardless of some other ponies' concerns about the Parasprites. She possesses the "Pinkie sense," an ability to predict events in the immediate future through twitches of various body parts. There is seldom a day without Pinkie's smile, but when she becomes sad enough, her mane and tail go from curly to completely straight and her pink coloration loses its brightness, matching her appearance during her unhappy youth on a rock farm before she earned her cutie mark. While she usually hops around, Pinkie is exceptionally quick when running, able to keep pace with and chase down a hurrying, airborne Rainbow Dash.
Fan Reception
Academic Reception
In the history and philosophy of science Pinkie Pie has been identified as evidence of Paul Feyerabend's methodological anarchism as a result of the science wars of the 1990s where socially constructed knowledge impinges on science's capacity to make truth claims (Wood 2011 ¶11).
