Dundalk Cricket Club is a cricket Club based in Dundalk, County Louth in the Republic of Ireland. The club was founded in October 2009 and began playing friendly matches starting in the April 2010 season. It achieved the rare distinction of being recognised by the world leading cricket magazine The Wisden Cricketer as its "Club of the Month" for October 2010, this is both unusual for an Irish club and a club only twelve months into its existence. In 2011, the club was admitted into the Leinster Cricket Union and plays in Leinster Senior League Division 11. In the 2011 Season the club won the Leinster League Division 11 Championship title and in the course of doing so became the only club in the whole of Leinster across the 14 Divsions to go unbeaten. The club accumulated 253 points overall the highest points of any Leinster club in the 2011 season. The club is the only cricket club in County Louth and the most northerly club in the Leinster Cricket Union. In June 2011 member Suniel Kumar was selected for the 2011 Irish Universities Squad .
