Dub punk

The dub punk is a Greek experimental music and video project that formed in 2008 as part of the new world music tendency. Along with dub and punk, their music incorporate elements of reggae, funk, electro and any genre. The dub punk consist of George Symeonidis (directing, producing, composer, drums, percussion, vocals, lyrics), Artemis Stathakou (composer, piano, keyboards, melodica, vocals) and George Moros (leading vocals). The dub punk release their music for free in internet.
The dub punk's politicized lyrics, musical experimentation, inspiring videos and rebellious attitude had a far-reaching influence in many parts of the world like -among others- Mexico, Argentina, Brazil.
Politics
The band's music was often charged by a leftist political ideology. George Symeonidis (aka gcl dp), in particular, is a committed leftist. The dub punk are credited with pioneering the advocacy of radical politics in contemporary styles of music. Like post modern cyber punk bands, the dub punk protest against the machine, the power and the corruption of the governments. Instead, they found solidarity with a number of contemporary liberation movements like EZLN and were involved with such groups as the Antifa group. The band's political sentiments are reflected in their resistance to the music industry's usual profit motivations; even at their peak, the music is absolutely free for anyone to download.
