Dr Donald Tan

Donald Tan obtained his doctorate from the University of Western Australia with a dissertation on how branding affects the Asian consumers .
Educated at the Anglo-Chinese School (Primary, Secondary & Junior College), Donald went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in United States on a Foreign Student Scholarship after completing his GCE "A" Levels at Anglo-Chinese Junior College. He graduated "1st class" and was offered a John N. Palmer Assistantship to pursue his MBA after having received the "All American Scholar" award by the United States Achievement Academy and the Book Award by the Alpha Lambda Honor Society. He was also on the Chancellor's Honors Roll during the course of his undergraduate studies.
Donald embarked on a marketing career in Asia; started managing accounts for an agency and subsequently went on to head marketing and communication for several listed MNCs in Asia Pacific.
During his career, he also won several coverted awards including the American Marketing Association's "Outstanding Achievement in Marketing", company specific "Vice-President Award" & "Key Contributor Award". He is constantly featured and has contributed articles in the Singapore Marketer , Asia Electronics Industry, Display Devices, ...etc .
Donald is also a highly sort-after speaker in marketing and speaks regularly at seminars across Asia. He also contributes his time as an adjunct lecturer at the following universities in Singapore.

In 2008, Donald won the Excellent Lecturer Award by the Marketing Institute of Singapore and the Outstanding Lecturer Award by the Entrepreneur Resource Centre Institute in 2009.
