DPT Laboratories, Ltd. is a Contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in sterile and non-sterile semi-solid and liquid dosage forms. DPT Labs’ pharmaceutical development services include pre-formulation and formulation, analytical method development and validation, stability studies, process development and clinical trial materials. Manufacturing services include pilot and clinical trial material and commercial-scale manufacturing. History DPT was founded in 1938 as Texas Pharmacal Company and was renamed Dermatological Products of Texas in 1980. DFB Pharmaceuticals acquired Dermatological Products of Texas in 1990 and renamed it DPT Laboratories, Ltd. Company Timeline: * 1938: Founded as Texas Pharmacal Company * 1966: Acquired by Warner-Lambert * 1979: Acquired by Alcon. Contract manufacturing begins at San Antonio site. Alcon changes the name to Dermatological Products of Texas. * 1990: Acquired by DFB Pharmaceuticals * 2001: Lakewood, NJ site acquired from West Pharmaceutical Services * 2006: Center of Excellence for Research & Development opens * 2010: DPT launches expanded sterile capabilities and adds development, testing, and manufacturing capabilities for pMDIs Dosage Forms DPT provides formulation services for aerosols, creams, extrusions, foams, gels, lotions, ointments, solutions, suspensions and sprays in nasal, oral, otic, parenteral and topical dosage forms.
