Davison Associates

Davison Associates, sometimes referred to as Davison Design & Development or simply Davison are an invention promotion firm based in Pittsburgh. In March 2006, the Federal Trade Commission ordered Davison Associates, Inc. to pay $26 million for misrepresenting its services to inventors.
Business
Davison provides new product development services to inventors, corporations and entrepreneurs.
The firm has received two Industrial Design Excellence Awards from the Industrial Designers Society of America and BusinessWeek magazine, as well as an honourable mention in I.D. Magazines 2007 design review competition.
Inventionland
Inventionland is a design facility that houses 16 themed sets, including a pirate ship, tree house and giant robot. According to George Davison, his intention was to provide a creative work environment in which "wannabe inventors" design and develop new products.
Inventionland is also featured in the 2008 Ripley's Believe It or Not Annual, "The Remarkable Revealed".
FTC order
In March 2006, the Federal Trade Commission ordered Davison Associates, Inc. to pay $26 million for misrepresenting its services to inventors.
The court-ordered statement on the company's web site states that, , 16 people have earned royalties greater than Davison's fees out of 326,707 who were offered a pre-development agreement or similar contract.
