Douglas Lorenz is the Advisory Board Director of the Republican Liberty Caucus, a group with the aim of developing the libertarian wing of the Republican Party. Lorenz started out in 1990 as the principal in his San Francisco-based computer consulting firm, Lorenz Technologies. According to a biographical note, he then returned to college where he "created the first online presence for the California College Republicans" as well as completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations, with a minor in economics, at California State University, Sacramento. "Douglas came to the political consulting firm Russo Marsh and Rogers in 2000, and developed the company's current information technologies capabilities. Subsequently, during campaign for Governor of California, Douglas served as the campaign's Director of Information Technologies...," his biographical note states. Lorenz was also head of the advisory board of the campaign to recall Gray Davis.
