DJ Pink (born June 22, 1984 in Santa Monica, California) is a female DJ who currently works for Pinkilition Records.
Biography
DJ Pink; Real name Lauren Hilton; based out of Santa Monica, California has taken the Trance and Club scene in the United States by storm, and has been featured in many top clubs.
DJ Pink went to Malibu Public, High School and gradated Class Valedictorian with a 4.4 GPA. She was a cheerleader all 4 years of high school. She gave birth to her only child Jamie Lynne Hilton March 10th, 2005. DJ pink married high school sweetheart Nicholas Hilton July 14th, 2006. DJ pink loves to spend my friend time with her family and loved ones. She's an avid XBox Live Gamer. When she's not on stage, DJ Pink can be found in her home studio where she produces some of her best works of art. DJ Pink was quoted in DJ Micro Magazine saying when she's mixing music and producing it takes her to a place where she can find pure happiness, where all her emotions are released onto one track or mix. DJ PInk graduated from Pepperdine University, with a masters degree in psychology.
DJ Pink is a long time season ticket holder for the Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles Lakers. DJ Pink is an avid sports fan who supports her teams to the fullest. In many of her concerts DJ Pink can be seen wearing various sports jerseys from her favorite teams. Most notably the Los Angeles Galaxy.
DJ Pink has been very vocal in interviews that she has no relation to Paris Hilton.
DJ Pink is currently ranked 7th in the world for female Trance DJ's.
Career and Music
DJ Pink broke onto the scene in late 2006 when she scored her first club deal with Club Avalon-Hollywood in Malibu, California. DJ Pink signed on with BaBack records a label in which Fred Baker works under took her under his wing and brought her up and was the major producer for DJ Pink. DJ Pink' highest achievment was having her 2nd CD Pink Wave hit the gold standard in Europe.
DJ Pink signed an exclusive deal with iTunes starting June 18th, 2010 where her music will go on sale. Terms and Conditions were not released.
DJ Pink signed an exclusive deal with Club Avalon-Hollywood under 2 year agreement that she had to meet a required set of dates which resulted in her first major deal. She broke out onto the scene with large concerts across the United States.
DJ Pink has been featured in some of the top shows around the world. She's appeared on events such as Dance Valley Trancemania and Tomorrowland.
DJ Pink's style of Trance ranges from Progressive Trance, Ambient Trance and Melodic Trance. She's also been known to throw some House Music flavor into her tracks and mixes.
DJ Pink signed a deal with SineFM Raido Station based out of the United Kingdom to have her tracks played exclusively on the station in the UK.
DJ Pink will have her first tour of Europe starting June 10th, 2010 concluding in Ibiza, Spain. Her reception in the Europe has been very high. DJ Pink is slowly bringing the Trance popularity in the United States to the world level.
DJ Pink's released three different CD's each with a different style. Her first CD Pinkilition featured only 8 tracks but all 8 tracks have been come popular among the Trance circuit.
Pink Wave was her best success to date. It was her first full cd with a House Music style and twist to it mixed with Progressive Trance and Melodic Trance. It went over very well among fans and friends alike.
DJ Pink's 3rd CD titled “Forever Pink” is slated to be released May 19th, 2010. Its already got a very ambient and melodic feel to it. It will be the first CD mastered by new partner Robert Cruz based out of Newark, New Jersey. The CD Single is titled the same as the CD and has a very hard but Melodic Flare. Its got a familiar beat and sound to it that many music fans alike will recognize. The CD is inspired mostly by different locations.
Singles
DJ Pink's first major single Extacy is a song popularly known on the trance and club scene. Extacy also was the first song that featured a music video along with it. It aired on MTV in the year 2008.
Goon Ambiance was noted by Fred Baker, as one of the best melodic trance songs he’s heard in awhile. Goon Ambiance’s name credit goes to Miguel Rubio, based out of Sacramento, California. Who helped name the song. His name was credited on the LP and single CD that was released in late 2009 to clubs and other DJ’s.
Super Joe Cannon was created and dedicated to Major League Soccer elite goalkeeper Joe Cannon of the San Jose Earthquakes. The phase “Super Joe Cannon” was borrowed from the Earthquakes support group known as the Casbah. Joe Cannon is a big DJ Pink fan.
Her song “7 Stones of Truth” I think is what she considers her best work. There are two different mixes, the Essence Mix and Pinkiliton Mix. The Essence Mix is very hard and fast, while the Pinkilition Mix is very ambient and takes you to places you’ve never been.
Forever Pink, will be debuting as her new hit single on her 3rd CD set to be released May 19th, 2010. She's stated in various interviews that this CD will be the best one yet. Its got a very inspired flavor to it. Its being remastered by newly signed Robert Cruz based out of Newark, New Jersey.
