Dean Wiand

Dean Wiand (born in Harrogate) is a photographer based in the UK.
He has spent the past 11 years as a fine art/editorial photographer. Working regularly for The New York Times Magazine he has photographed around the world with large format 8x10 and 11x14 view cameras.
Wiand's wife is the photographer and filmmaker Margaret Salmon.<ref name="yep"/> He has produced over 8 films, showing at the 2007 Venice Biennale, the Whitechapel Gallery, and Rotterdam Film Festival amongst others. Many of Salmon’s films are now a part of important international collections, including those at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (Smithsonian Institution) in Washington and the British Council Collection. Dean has studied filmmaking (Directing and Cinematography) at the International Film School Wales, and Filmmakers Co-op London and the National Film and Television School.
