Cameron Washington

Cameron Washington (born February 1980, San Francisco, California) is an independent filmmaker, musician, and writer based in Brooklyn and San Francisco. He wrote and directed the 2005 comedy, High School Ripped Me A New One, which screened at the Spaghetti Junction Film Festival, The San Francisco Black Film Festival and won Best Comedy at the New York International Independent Film Festival. His second feature film, Sex, Drugs, and Jazz, will begin shooting early 2009 in New York City. On trumpet Washington was a principal instrumentalist for the Bay Area Wind Symphony and Winds Across the Bay. He led an 18-piece Big Band for many years, and has worked with musicians including Chuck Mangione, The Melodians, and Andy Bassford.
