David Miskin

David Miskin is an American creative director, brand strategist and retail designer currently serving as Chief Creative Officer at The Lightstone Group, a privately held real estate investment company.
Miskin began working at a Gap store at age 15 and was later appointed by then-CEO Mickey Drexler as District Visual Manager for several Gap stores in NYC. In 1994, when Gap launched its Old Navy spinoff, Miskin was part of a team that directed the visual design of the initial fleet of stores.
Miskin served as Regional Visual Coordinator at Federated Department Stores from 1995-1998, coordinating visual support for 18 Stern’s department stores in New York and New Jersey.
Moving to Delia’s Retail Corporation in 1998, Miskin directed the launch of Delia’s first brick-and-mortar stores as the company branched out from catalog-only marketing.
In 2001, Miskin joined the creative consulting firm EBE Creative, directing photo shoots and music videos, including a video for "Stay" by Judy Torres. In 2007, he produced and directed Con Amor Margarita, a short film that debuted at the HBO New York Latino Film Festival and opened the Long Island Latino Film Festival in 2007. Clients he worked with at EBE include Scoop NYC, Versace, Clear Channel Entertainment, and Warner Brothers.
From 2010-2015, Miskin served as Vice President of Creative and Branding and Director of Visual Presentation and Design at General Growth Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust that owns and operates shopping malls in the U.S.
In 2015, as CCO at The Lightstone Group, Miskin directed the renovation and rebranding of Orlando’s Artegon Marketplace, a project which entailed a visual makeover of the property and the transitioning of its tenant roster from a traditional array of national and international retailers to one featuring local artisans and artists.
Miskin was named to design:retail magazine’s 2016 ‘40 Under 40’ list.
