Dave McRae

Dave McRae (born May 24, 1979) is a professional voice artist, filmmaker and award winning actor currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His father is Canadian journalist Earl McRae. Best known for the many voices he can do, Dave McRae started doing voices at a very early age. He won several awards in high school for his ability to do sound effects with his voice. He also co-hosted a radio show in college.

In January 2003 Dave attended the IMTA in Los Angeles, California, where he won five awards for acting. These included first place for his monologue and his soap opera, second runner up for his cold read, honourable mention for his commercial, and fourth runner up for actor of the year.

Between 2003 and 2005, he appeared in small roles on docudramas for the Discovery Channel and History Channel. Some of his voice work includes the 2006 DVD release of Dave Chappelle's Block Party, spots for Toronto's "The FAN 590 AM" and the Woodbine Racetrack, The Sopranos ads for Corus Entertainment radio stations, and the Grindhouse movie trailer in 2007. He is the "voice" of TLN, the "water cooler guy" for Global Television, and the narrator for the documentary series Final 24 which airs on the The Biography Channel. He is also in the early stages of development on a motion picture entitled Port Robinson Road, which he is to direct.
