Dasharath Giri (29 May 1976), early known as D.R. Giri in Nepali Film Industry is a Nepali citizen born in a middle class family. He completed his school leaving exam from Chitwan. He is a film editor, film director and animator in Nepali film industry. He got his diploma in multimedia from Arena Animation academy. He studied 36 months course in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-design, Corel draw. He also got diploma in various motion graphics softwares like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Adobe Director including 3D softwares like Autodesk 3DS-Max and Autodesk Maya along with Sony Soundforge. Dasharath Giri studied his animation course in Hyderabad, India while he was there for his business. After returning from India he came to Kathmandu (2012) where he started to work as film editor, animator in various Nepali Films including movie Kathmandu which was the blockbuster of 2012, Tyo Dasghanta (2012) which was horror Nepali movie. Besides this he worked in various movies like Timro Kasam (2013). His recent project are Alvida (2015) in which he worked as VFX artist which include actor Aryan Sigdel, Hasan Khan. He established himself as director by his first debut movie Kaifiyat (2016). Beside this he worked as editor and title animator in documentary movie Mugum (2010).
