Darn Cold Croquet

Darn Cold Croquet is a form of Croquet created to be played on ice during the Winter-River-Fest festivities in Windom, Minnesota. According to Mitch Voehl, the organizer of the event, Darn Cold Croquet is "a good, family-oriented game and it's a lot of fun."
Rules
Darn Cold Croquet is played on ice that has been cleared of all snow. Instead of a normal croquet mallet and balls, a sledge hammer is used to hit bowling balls. The concept of the game remains the same; however, participants must take in to consideration the speed of the ice. Another possible hazard in Darn Cold Croquet is the possibility of a destroyed ball. Once the bowling ball has been destroyed, the participant has lost.<ref name="Darn Cold Croquet event starts at 11 a.m. Saturday"
