Pagodaball

Pagodaball is an underground sport created by campionites( students of the most prestigious high school in Jamaica). It is a variation of football in which any player bounces a ball off the ground to a octagonal pyramid roof and tries to score on his opponent or opponents in the same way that a team in football would score on the opposing side. However there are 16 goals and up to 16 players allowed at any point of the game. In Pagodaball, points are called lives and when you score on someone, they lose a life.In fact, there are many tounaments held throughout the year and prize money given to the winner. The finals of a Pagodaball game is called Final Showdown which consists of two players whose points or lives are reduced to one regardless of the amount of lives they had before. The person must not kick the ball out of the pagoda or in thier own goal but must either in the other persons goal or try to hit it off them in order to win the game. Before the year 2003, it was ony considerd a fun pastime by many but Pagodaball has began to change slowly. There are many more people playing the sport from First all the way up to Fifth form and on some occasions, Sixth formers are known to play this fun pastime. People from other schools have become intrested in pagodaball but have not played the game. In the future , it is projected that this sport/pastime shall spread throught the entire world as a rival to many oter supporters for fans of different languages, races and walks of life depending on the speed of its increase throughout the world
