Daniel Scot is co-director of Ibrahim Ministries International, based in Australia. Along with Danny Nalliah, he was co-defendant in a high-profile racial vilification case under Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001. Life Scot was born in a village in Pakistan and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Karachi in 1975. In 1976 he was awarded a Master of Science (First Class) from the same university. In 1987 he received a Bachelor of Theology from Gujranwala Seminary. In 1986 Daniel was charged under the Blasphemy Law 295C in Pakistan after being "convicted" of blasphemy for quoting the Qur'an. Fleeing Pakistan, Scot arrived in Australia where he worked at the University of Queensland. In 2002, Daniel was conducting a seminar in Melbourne arranged by Danny Nalliah for Christians about Islam. He was subsequently charged under for inciting contempt of Islam in the minds of the listeners. Nalliah and Scot were initially convicted, but the Supreme Court of Victoria subsequently upheld an appeal. The case took 5½ years. References
