Claire Madden (born June 17, 1983) is an animal conservationist who appeared as 'zoo girl' on the reality TV show Big Brother Australia 2006. Career Madden was born in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, in 1983, and in 2004 she graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Animal Studies and was awarded First Class Honors. After graduation Madden worked as a big cat zookeeper. Madden traveled to Borneo in June 2007 to produce her first wildlife documentary exploring the plight of the orangutan. This production was funded by Kumuka Travel, a sponsor of Big Brother Australia. Madden has been named an ambassador for numerous wildlife charities including the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Australian Orangutan Project (AOP), and the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors. |
