Daniel Lloyd-Weston

Daniel Lloyd-Weston, born on 17 August, 1991 in Manchester, England, is a goalkeeper who currently plays for West Bromwich Albion U-18s Academy team and a product of the long-term investment in youth systems, as part of the development of Football Association Football Academies in England. He was a former pupil at Alsager School, in Cheshire, England.

Lloyd-Weston started his football career at Crewe Alexandra Football Club at the age of eight years old, leaving in 2003 and went on to Liverpool FC playing in the prestigious Unicef-sponsored Torneo Internazionale tournament in Italy for the U-13s team, but later that year he joined Stoke City Football Club being coached by former goalkeeper Ronnie Sinclair.

At the end of season 2006-2007, Lloyd-Weston was released by Stoke City and immediately went on trial at Manchester United FC. A number of other clubs in England and Wales offered him scholarship terms at their respective youth teams, but he joined West Bromwich Albion in June 2007 after playing several trial games. He has since played several games for the U-18s Academy team and selected for the Baggies reserve team, which includes first team regulars on a number of occasions in season 2007-2008.
