Daniel Arreola

Daniel Arreola is an announcer for Fox Sports International's English SAP channel (which is available on DirecTV and on some cable systems) in the USA. He has narrated important soccer matches such as the 2006 Recopa Sudamericana between Sao Paulo and Boca Juniors, the 2006 Copa Sudamericana final between Colo Colo and Pachuca and the Interliga tournament (a competition that involves some of the top Mexican club teams to determine qualifying spots for the Copa Libertadores).

Arreola has also narrated Mexican Primera División and Copa Libertadores matches for Fox Soccer Channel (Fox Sports World in Canada).

His strong bilingual background (he is fluent in English and Spanish) enabled him to gain valuable experience at KGNS-TV, the NBC affiliate in Laredo, Texas and at WVEA-TV, the Univisión affiliate in Tampa, Florida. At both stations he anchored and produced the sports segments.

While at WVEA, he also appeared on Telefutura's Contacto Deportivo as the Tampa Bay area correspondent. This is where he had the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with Alex Rodriguez after getting traded from the Texas Rangers to the New York Yankees for Alfonso Soriano. Other noteworthy interviews during his stint in Tampa include first baseman Carlos Delgado, pitcher Jose Contreras, former Salvadorean national team striker Raul Diaz Arce and Dodgers Spanish-language announcer Jaime Jarrin.
His high school soccer coverage for WVEA in the Tampa Bay area received attention from the St. Petersburg Times in the January 8, 2004 edition in Mike Readling's "Soccer Extra" column.

Arreola has also contributed to important periodicals such as the Los Angeles Times, The Orange County Register and The Tampa Tribune.

He was born in Santa Ana, California
