Dan Mazier is a Canadian farmer and politician. Career Mazier received a diploma in agriculture from University of Manitoba in 1984 and using his degree he began farming and during this time he married his wife Leigh. After working on his farm for 15 years Mazier began to work with Keystone Agriculture Producers, in 2001 he was appointed to the board of directors and while there he was one of the founding members of the KAP Young Farmers Committee, which sought to help farmers under the age of 40 grow and succeed in the farming industry. He also represented KAP to the Canadian Federation of Agriculture as well as to Parliament Hill. In 2010 he served as the organization's Vice President and in 2014 he began serving as their president. In 2018 he stepped down as President of the organization in order to run in 2019 Canadian federal election with Bill Campbell taking over the position of President. Mazier stated that while he had remained non-partison for all of his career, the Conservative Party of Canada proved to be a perfect fit for what Mazier sought to accomplish. In November 2018 Mazier was selected as the candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada in the riding of Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa. Mazier stated that if elected he would increase access to high speed internet to the region as well as increasing the economic prosperity of the region.
