Dak-Kon

Dak-Kon is a Convention that was started in Comox, BC 1995. "1995 was Dak-Kon I, then 1997 to 2011 are II through XVI, so its been 16 years since played in the first D&D game a Dak-Kon I" At Dak-Kon people can play Board Games, Role playing games, Trading card games, Miniatures, and Collectable Card Games.
History
Dak-Kon began as group of people that played various role playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, G.U.R.P.S., and Collectable Card Games. The original group consisted of ten members who all donated $100.00 to the cause of creating a Gaming Convention for the Comox Valley. The convention has been held at several venues including Native Sons Hall Comox, The Florence Filberg Center, ABC Books & Inner Sanctum, and several others. Dak-Kon increased it's offering over time to include Magic: The Gathering and for a couple years had The Core Gamers come out with its board games.
Present
Dak-Kon Hosted a convention on October 13-14, 2012. They had a turnout of around 100 people.
