Czyz Records

Czyz Records was a record label founded in 1999 by Marshall Chess, several years after he left Chess Records. Marshall worked with the record label through its sale in 1970 and stayed on in the music business, forming Rolling Stone Records and Arc Music, a music publishing company. On 21 September 1999 the first record released on Czyz Records was the Murali Coryell album 2120, named after Chess' old Chicago address at 2120 South Michigan.
Czyz (pronounded "Chez" or "Chaz") was the original Polish surname of Leonard and Phil Chess, the founders of Chess Records, when they arrived in America, from the village of Mutol in Poland.
Czyz Records is located in Phoenicia, New York.
