Be The Bear

Be The Bear is a Swedish-based alternative band made up of vocalist/lyricist Christina Julia Wehage and musician/producer Mattias Bolin. Christina is originally Danish, born in Solrød to an English mother and half-Norwegian/half-Danish father. Mattias is from Sösdala but moved to Gothenburg to study music, where he met Christina. Mattias is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, piano, drums and uses a number of synthetic sounds and beats in their recordings.
Releases
Be The Bear released their first recording entitled 'My New Glow' on April 1, 2011 -Christina's 26th birthday.
The single features the song "My New Glow" and a re-recorded, partially re-written version of "Heart on a Line". Be The Bear first featured this song on the SAAB Car Commercial released in November 2010. In less than a week the youtube version of the commercial reached 47,000 hits which initiated an article entitled 'The power of advertising' on Be The Bear in the Swedish newspaper "Norra Skåne".

In February 2011 they recorded a cover version of the Swedish Folksong Barfotavisan by Mats Paulson which was released in April 2011 on Swedish national television in a commercial for the florist chain Blomsterlandet
