Drillinginfo

Drillinginfo provides land leasing, well production, drilling activity, wellbore configuration, and sales information, along with analytical tools to the US upstream oil and gas industry. Drillinginfo currently has 3000 member companies that subscribe to its services.
Drilling was founded in 1999 by Allen Gilmer and Mark Nibbelink, in Austin, Texas. It acquired PennEnergy Data in 2004, notable in the fact that PennEnergy Data comprised one of only two historical US oil and gas production and wellbore datasets. It was originally acquired by Pennwell Corp. of Tulsa, OK when the Federal Trade Commission ruled that one of the sets must be made available to a qualified third party after an attempt was made to combine the ownership of the datasets in 1998.
Drillinginfo acquired HPDI in 2009, the commercial source of US oil and gas production information to the Energy Information Agency. Drillinginfo is also a source for information on US Unconventional Gas, and has staked a position on its ultimate economic viability.
It created DI International in 2008 to expand coverage of upstream oil and gas activities into the global arena. Drillinginfo is headquartered in Austin, TX, and has operations offices in Stroud, UK; Bucharest, Romania; Singapore; Matamoros, Mexico, and Monterrey, Mexico. It has sales offices in Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Midland, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; and Denver, CO.
It has been recognized as one of the fastest 50 growing companies in Central Texas in 4 of the last 6 years, and in the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies in the US for the last 2 years.
